2013 Maserati Quattroporte Specifications Review Price Engine

Specification image modification exterior interior price review 2013 Maserati Quattroporte
welcome to Neonista.blogspot.com website that provides a variety of information about the latest cars in the world. and this time we will share information about the 2013 Maserati Quattroporte, the following information

Mazzers playing its cards close to its chest, but we do know that the all-new V8 engines been designed and developed by Maserati and Ferrari engineers in Italys motor valley. And while youd associate the products of Maranello to err on the thirsty side, this ones meant to be more efficient and more powerful than the current car.

Of the chassis, Roberto Corradi, Maserati Vehicle Development Director, says: "Maserati engineers have worked in chassis designing and engineering, weight reduction, ergonomic enhancement to develop a car capable of fitting different powertrain architectures and transmission configurations for the most diverse driving conditions but always maintaining Maseratis trademark best-in-class driving comfort."

Now, about that design... According to the manufacturer, its "Italian design at its best." Apparently, it "reinterprets the design features of classic Maseratis". Hmm... The key Quattroporte trademarks are there in the front grille, three side vents and the triangular C pillar. The new bits include that pinched crease running down the side of the car, frameless doors, three side windows, and fresh headlights and rear lights

The 2013 replacement for Maserati’s only current sedan, very little of which is actually visible here. Other than the door handles, windshield, and side windows, there is nothing we can confidently say is a production part of the next-gen Quattroporte. The true surfaces of every frumpy, matte-finished panel, including the hunchback rear window, are successfully obscured. Even the head- and taillamps are grafted-on pieces borrowed from today’s Quattroporte. Still, we can make out the new model’s general proportions, which are similar to those of the current car, with the dipping lower window line in particular telling us that voluptuous curves will once again be a Q-porte calling card.
Platform/Powertrain: We already know that Maserati is planning to install revised versions of its Ferrari-built 4.5- and 4.7-liter V-8s in its upcoming SUV, with direct injection and stop/start technology to help save fuel and lower emissions. The same updated engines should find their way into the Q-porte as well. Ditto their attendant eight-speed automatic transmission. We expect Quattroporte and Quattroporte S models to be available at launch; a Quattroporte Sport GTS model is likely to show up a year or two later to keep customer interest alive once the initial buzz inevitably wanes. The next Q-porte could offer all-wheel drive, with a possible hybrid model appearing as well.

2013 Volkswagen Polo BlueGT Review Price Engine

Specification image modification exterior interior price review 2013 Volkswagen Polo BlueGT
welcome to Neonista.blogspot.com website that provides a variety of information about the latest cars in the world. and this time we will share information about the 2013 Volkswagen Polo BlueGT, the following information

On the outside, there are multi-spoke 17-inch alloys and GT badges front and rear, while the suspension is lowered by around 15 mm. Added to this are some features borrowed from the Polo GTI (the rear spoiler, rear bumper with diffuser, plus front bumper with LED daytime running lights) and some from the Polo BlueMotion (side sills and front windscreen rain channels). A black-painted front grille and black door mirror caps complete the look, while a unique exterior paint, ‘Blue Silk’, is available as an option.

Inside, as in the Polo GTI, the roof lining is in black, while the instruments are also adopted from the GTI. Up front are bespoke BlueGT sports seats and a leather-trimmed steering wheel with BlueGT emblem. Standard specification includes DAB radio with iPod connectivity, cruise control, Bluetooth phone connection and XDS electronic differential lock.

The new Polo BlueGT, which costs from £17,400 on the road, features a turbocharged 1.4-litre four-cylinder engine producing 140 PS and 250 Nm (185 lbs ft) of torque, yet it returns 61.4 mpg on the combined cycle and emits just 107 g/km of CO2, whether drivers opt for the six-speed manual or the seven-speed DSG transmission. Top speed is 130 mph and zero to 62 mph takes just 7.9 seconds.

At the heart of the Polo BlueGT, and responsible in large part for its combination of high performance and low fuel economy, is the new EA211 engine. Under light and medium loads, the second and third cylinders are automatically shut down, producing fuel savings of up to 0.4 litres per 100 km in the EU driving cycle. At a constant 50 kmh (30 mph) the savings can be as much as one litre per 100 km, and even at 70 kmh (44 mph) in fifth gear, around 0.7 litres per 100 km can be saved.

2013 Fiat Panda 4×4 Review Price Engine Exterior

Specification image modification exterior interior price review 2013 Fiat Panda 4×4
welcome to Neonista.blogspot.com website that provides a variety of information about the latest cars in the world. and this time we will share information about the 2013 Fiat Panda 4×4, the following information

With five doors, the car is 368 centimetres long, 167 centimetres wide and 160 centimetres high. The wheelbase is 230 centimetres long. It has a front track of 141 centimetres and a rear track of 140.

For the look of the new Fiat Panda 4×4, Fiat Centro Stile designers started from the idea of consolidating its purely functional design features, adding small details that convey the image of an extremely sophisticated multifunctional mini SUV. Looks are strongly characterised by the marked geometric lines of the front and rear bumpers with aluminium colour cosmetic inserts to underline the presence of metallic protection under the body.

Unlike the previous generation, the tailpipes of the new Fiat Panda 4×4 seamlessly follow the lines of the body and ensure complete protection for the lower part of the car. Two body colours now complement the existing colour palette to enhance its 4×4 looks: Sicilia orange (pastel) and Toscana green (metallic).

The interiors pick up the solutions adopted on 4×2 versions with some important innovations: a new green fascia variant framing the instruments and the large storage pocket, fabric seats with a special design in three colour variant (green, beige, orange) and eco-leather details, front and rear door panels also with eco-leather inserts and finally a high console over the central tunnel which adds a further storage compartment to the 14 already present on 4×2 versions.

Two engine versions for the Fiat Panda 4×4 will be available, both with Start&Stop: the new 85 HP 0.9 TwinAir Turbo and the 75 HP 1.3 MultiJet II diesel. With respect to the 1.2 Fire of the previous generation, the TwinAir Turbo has 40% more torque. This in combination with the special six-speed gearbox with low-range first gear ensures much better uphill starts, quality when starting, flexibility and pick-up. A similar improvement is found on the MultiJet II engine, where torque is increased by 30%.

The Panda has the most extensive, versatile range in its category, and to confirm this two important new Panda family members will be making their debut in Paris: the Trekking and Natural Power versions. The first is the link between the 4×2 and the 4×4 version by combining off-road looks with smart front-wheel drive by implementing Traction+ technology. This is an innovative traction control system, which improves handling on slippery terrain guaranteeing excellent performance when setting off. There is also the new Panda Natural Power equipped with a dual fuel (methane and petrol) 80 HP 0.9 TwinAir Turbo engine to combine all the running cost and eco-friendly advantages of methane with Turbo TwinAir technology for excellent fuel consumption, emission and performance values.

2013 Nissan Almera Review Price Engine Specification

Specification image modification exterior interior price review 2013 Nissan Almera
welcome to Neonista.blogspot.com website that provides a variety of information about the latest cars in the world. and this time we will share information about the 2013 Nissan Almera, the following information

Nissan’s new Almera has been a hit in the USA (where it’s sold as the Versa Sedan), but will you want to buy it?

Here, sedans have traditionally played second-fiddle to hatchbacks in the light car segment. Nissan Australia however is banking on the Almera’s substantial interior space - at a squeezy light hatch price - to add around 3000 additional sales to its annual sales sheet.
It’s got a massive cabin, the Almera is indeed a rolling Tardis, but is, unfortunately, let down in a few other - somewhat critical - areas.

The Almera was developed exclusively for Russia, especially the "unique demands of the market, the weather and the local road conditions," said Nissan in a statement.
The five-passenger Almera is equipped with a 102-horsepower 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine linked to either a five-speed manual transmission or four-speed automatic transmission. The top-of-the-line Tekna model gets standard air-conditioning, rear power windows, an audio system with four speakers, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and 15-inch alloy wheels. It is said to be the only car in its class in Russia with a fully integrated navigation system.

The Interior

First things first: the Almera absolutely, positively, has one of the longest cabins in its segment.
Nissan says the Almera boasts the greatest legroom in the light car class, and given the yawning 904mm chasm between the first and second row, we’ve no reason to doubt that claim.
Secondly, this is a rather nicely-made interior. Hard plastics dominate, but even the rock-hard dashboard and urethane steering wheel have an appealing texture to them.

The Ti gets a more upmarket interior feel, with better quality materials, automatic climate control, ambient temperature display, rear park-assist, rear seat centre armrest, keyless entry and ignition and engine start button. But, like the ST, it misses cruise control.

Front seat comfort is good, but there’s no reach-adjustable steering. The seat position is also a tad high, even with the height-adjustable driver’s seat squab at its lowest setting.
The rear seats are nicely shaped and the acres of legroom are very much appreciated. However, it’s all spoiled by a lack of headroom thanks to the sloping roofline.

There’s no height adjustment to the base model Almera ST’s rear headrests either.
The boot - another super-sized aspect of this pint-sized sedan - measures in at a substantial 490 litres.
It’s a huge boot for a light car, although not quite as big as the Honda City’s 506 litre boot space.
Critically though, there’s no provision for a fold-down rear backrest. That’s hard to overlook when the overwhelming majority of the Almera’s competitors have such a feature.

 On The Road

The Almera’s naturally-aspirated 1.5 litre petrol inline four isn’t the most exciting motor around, but even with only 75kW and 139Nm it has enough muscle to move the 1.0-tonne Almera with ease.
Like all small-capacity four-pots, it needs plenty of coaxing during overtaking or merging onto freeways, but as long as the revs are kept high it performs well.
The automatic gearbox is definitely the one to get. It’s only got four gears, but it kicks down quickly and smoothly and works hard to keep the engine on the boil.
It can sometimes hunt between gears when travelling up steep inclines, but, for most of the time, we found the auto did not put a foot wrong when selecting ratios.

The cabin is relatively bland, but offers class-leading space and a boot that holds 500 liters (17.6 cubic feet) of luggage. Three trim levels are available and higher-end variants feature air conditioning, power locks / windows, heated front seats and Bluetooth connectivity.
Power comes from a 1.6-liter petrol engine that develops 102 PS (75 kW / 101 hp) and 145 Nm (107 lb-ft) of torque. It can be connected to a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission.
To deal with rough roads and the Russian climate, engineers installed region-specific springs / dampers, underbody protection and 160mm (6.3 inches) of ground clearance. Theres also an upgraded heating system, specially-designed windshield wipers and an extra-large windshield washer fluid tank.source:themotorreport.com.au,insideline.com

2013 Chevrolet Spark Review Price Specification

You may call the 2013 Chevrolet Spark "unique" without upsetting defenders of the English language. "Unique" means "one of a kind," so "very unique" is poor wording, and describing an item as "unique" when there are other things like it is wrong.

The Spark is Chevys new A-segment mini. Three other cars sold in the U.S. compete in this size category, and none is like this Bowtie A-car. It certainly has none of the cartoonish character of the Fiat 500, and its more than $3000 cheaper than the op-art design, two-door hatchback Scion iQ, a car surprisingly substandard in its driving dynamics, especially for a Toyota product. The only competitor that comes close to the Sparks $12,995 price is the Smart Fortwo, a two-door two-seater that serves as a strong argument for the commuter biking movement.

The Chevy Spark, which goes on sale in August or September, is the only four-door hatchback in the A-segment with reasonably comfortable space for four adults. It is unique. A pure electric version is scheduled to hit the market next year.

The rear seat, with cupholders dividing left from right, has generous headroom and pretty good legroom, with a necessarily short seat cushion. The car is tall: one inch taller than the already upright Sonic B-car. With the Sparks rear seats up, theres not much more cargo space than in the Fortwo. But who combines grocery shopping with double dates? Flip and fold the rear seats and the Spark offers 31.2 cubic-feet of volume, Chevy says.

Thats why Chevy offers the Spark with a rather large 7-inch touchscreen MyLink radio bereft of a CD player. Like the MyLink units in other Chevrolet vehicles, it can run apps when paired with a smart phone. Pandora and Stitcher are available at launch and Chevy is promising a special navigation app later this year, called BringGo (not to be confused with Bringgo.com, which appears to be selling counterfeit products from China). We got to sample a preproduction version of the mapping software running on an iPhone during the 30 or so miles we drove, and it not only looked great but performed perfectly, including restarting its guidance after we turned the car off and temporarily undocked the phone. We are firm believers in using portable navigation technology and glad to see Chevy adopting this solution rather than spec-ing a dedicated nav unit.

Bonus then for the Spark: Its actually a real car. At 144.7 inches long, the Spark is within two inches of the Mini Cooper hardtop, and its 93.5-inch wheelbase is almost two inches longer than the Mazda MX-5 Miata roadster. But the Spark is over three inches narrower and almost half a foot taller than the Mini. (For those of you who might have dropped freshman Physics in favor of something less math-y, short and squat is as desirable for handling as it isnt for getting a date.) At 11 cubic feet, cargo capacity isnt huge, but its better than the others in this class. On the plus side – pun intended – the Sparks EPA passenger volume of 86 cubic feet is fairly huge, topping the Ford Fiesta hatchback, which is ostensibly a class up in the B-segment.

So Chevy is pitting a bigger car against littler ones. Indeed, the Spark is some two feet longer than the iQ and has five inches on the 500, yet its powertrain is remedial compared to its classmates. The Sparks 1.2-liter four-cylinder (actually 1249 cc, the extra 50 cc being a concession to U.S. market tuning) employs variable valve timing to make all of 84 horsepower and 83 lb-ft of torque, meaning that with a curb weight of 2,237 pounds, each of the Sparks horses has to move almost 27 pounds of weight. By comparison, the Fiestas ratio is only 1:21. Both the iQ (94 hp, 89 lb-ft) and the 500 (101 hp, 98 lb-ft) offer more power and torque, and the accompanying better power-to-weight ratios, as well. source:motortrend.com,autoblog.com

2013 Corvette 427 Convertible Review Price Exterior Interior

Information Specification Modification Image Review  2013  Chevrolet Corvette 427 Convertible
The pace and frequency of change to this most heroic of all Chevrolets can be charitably described as glacial, and our assessments of the changes, when they finally occur, don’t always jibe with the perceptions of the designers, builders, marketeers, and flacks.
For example, when the Corvette’s most recent major update came along for model year 2005, purporting to mark the transition from generation five (C5) to generation six, we characterized the sum of the changes as “Corvette C5 and 11/16ths.”

The members of  the Corvette tribe don’t refer to their baby in alphanumerics. It’s known internally as the Y platform and has been for decades. But that doesn’t keep the rest of the world from identifying the generations as C4, C5, and C6. Soon to become C7.
So, will the next generation merit the full seventh generational designation? Here’s what we know. Or at least think we know.

As it prepares to be replaced, the American automaker is giving the C6 ‘Vette a new paint shade, Night Race Blue. The Night Race Blue is a classy shade of blue which will complement the existing Supersonic Blue Metallic and Carlisle Blue Metallic that is currently being offered.

Buyers of the 2013 Corvette will also get to choose between four Black Painted aluminum wheel choices, instead of the Competition Gray that was offered in years prior. Choices include a 5-spoke in 18- or 19-inch sizes, the Grand Sport in 18- or 19-inch, the Spider design will come in 18- or 19-inch, and the ZR1-styled wheel will be offered in 19- or 20-inch.

Though its comfortable, the cabin isnt all that well-made in some respects. Upgrading to the available leather surface package is almost mandatory to avoid cheap plastics, and even then, the design and fit-and-finish are behind the times.

Crash testing is not a common occurrence at the upper end of the sports car spectrum, and the Corvette is no exception; it hasnt been put through the wringer by either the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Nevertheless, it comes with a good array of standard safety equipment, including front and side airbags, anti-lock brakes, and stability and traction control. Visibility can be compromised at times, however, due to the low-slung stature and smallish windows.

As for features, the Corvette is somewhere in the middle ground: not quite luxury, but not spartan either. With satellite radio, navigation, Bluetooth, a heads-up display, keyless entry, dual-zone climate control, push-button start, and a power drivers seat, it will meet most buyers needs, but it wont wow with its luxurious or high-tech amenities.

Design with purpose

The Ford Atlas Concept is inspired by decades of listening to customers at the places they work and play. The result is a purpose-driven design with prominent wheel arches, a wide stance and chiseled grille - all to reinforce its functional Built Ford Tough® image.

"We wanted the concept to reflect how Ford trucks help customers in both their worlds - professionally and personally," said J Mays, Ford group vice president and chief creative officer. "Every surface and feature in the vehicle has been crafted for purpose and capability while retaining an unmistakable Built Ford Tough look."

Designers enhanced truck functionality, while creating new advanced features(see infographic here). For example, multiple tie-down points are integrated within the cargo box walls and load floor, along with 110-volt electrical outlets in the cargo box to charge power tools. An integrated roof carrying system and hidden extendable ramps give the truck unique functionality for a variety of jobs.

The interior is themed with structural styling cues and features the latest thinking in comfort, utility and refinement. Innovative, thin, lightweight seating in comfortable leather allows for extra legroom for rear passengers - along with integrated storage for smaller items. "Floating" instrument pods and glove-friendly buttons and controls keep the interior functional and ruggedly stylish.

Leading fuel efficiency

The Ford Atlas Concept features a next-generation EcoBoost® powertrain, which introduces truck-enhanced Auto Start-Stop engine shutoff technology. Auto Start-Stop shuts off the engine when stopped in traffic to save fuel - and smartly suspends the feature when the truck knows it is towing.

EcoBoost engines use gasoline direct injection and turbocharging to deliver fuel-economy gains of up to 20 percent and reduction of CO2 emissions of up to 15 percent, compared with larger-displacement engines. More than 500,000 EcoBoost engines have been sold globally, including 250,000 in the Ford F-150.

The Ford Atlas Concept goes further to save fuel through a combination of active aerodynamic elements that reduce wind resistance. They include:
  • Active Grille Shutters: Automatic shutters behind the grille stay open when extra engine cooling is needed, such as during low-speed stop-and-go driving or while working in hot weather. The shutters automatically close to improve aerodynamics when cruising on the highway at steady speeds
  • Active Wheel Shutters: Automatic shutters in the wheels are hidden to improve style at rest and low speeds, but automatically close at highway speeds to improve aerodynamics. Self-charging batteries use energy from the wheels motion to power the shutters
  • Drop-Down Front Air Dam: A drop-down front wind spoiler lowers at highway speeds to improve underbody airflow. The air dam is raised at low speeds to improve ground clearance - helpful for off-roading
  • Power Running Boards: Auto-deploying running boards help passengers enter the truck at rest and tuck up against the truck when it is moving to improve aerodynamics and ground clearance

The combination of these fuel-saving features saves more than 2 mpg on the highway without diminishing towing or hauling capability.

Work and play smarter, not harder

Ford Atlas Concept is a rolling showcase of features that improve capability, durability and productivity to meet the diverse needs of pickup truck owners. Features include:
  • Dual-Purpose Tailgate Step and Cargo Cradle: The acclaimed Ford Tailgate Step goes a step further by adding the ability to also act as a cargo cradle - lifting and holding extra-long cargo items above the truck and freeing valuable bed spaceTrailer Backup Assist: This segment-first innovation allows drivers to back a trailer with the twist of a knob. Ford research shows that backing a trailer is often the most intimidating task a truck customer can face
  • Dynamic Hitch Assist: Hitching a trailer can be time consuming and difficult. Dynamic Hitch Assist helps precisely line up the trucks hitch with the trailer coupling, eliminating maneuvering guesswork by showing visual cues in the trucks center display screen
  • 360-Degree Point-of-View Camera: A Ford truck first, the system gives a birds-eye view of the truck to help position the vehicle in tight places or when there are obstacles near the truck - such as on a busy job site or grocery store parking lot
  • LED Headlamps and Taillamps: Advanced LED lighting offers better road illumination than conventional halogen or HID lights and lasts longer. LED lamps also offer near-instant response, giving valuable extra warning time for following traffic
  • LED Cargo Box and Side Mirror Lighting: Advanced, powerful yet efficient LED lighting brightly lights the cargo box and job site after the sun goes down with minimal battery drain compared to standard headlights or plug-in lights
  • Hidden Cargo Ramps: Lightweight, durable loading ramps stowed below the cargo box can be quickly removed and set up to assist with loading wheeled items into the bed - from landscaping equipment to dirt bikes
